Bi or Four-way (or 4-way) stretch means a fabric stretches and recovers both width and lengthwise.

TWEEDS

Tweed is a rough, woolen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is usually woven with a plain weave, twill or herringbone structure. But now its evolved and is made in synthetic woven fabric as well.

OCCASION TO GET SUITED:

A jacket or blazer of tweed made from synthetic fabric wont be warm as 100% Wool but will surely be warmer considering the weight and structure of the fabric.
